Change how you move. With this slogan and a new product Harley Davidson wants to address a new target group and starts with the production of e-bikes.
Harley-Davidson is already over 100 years old, 117 to be precise, and many people associate motorbikes directly with this traditional company. But will this still be the case in a few years? The motorbike manufacturer has recently announced that it will be launching e-bikes on the market from March 2021.
What, how, when – general facts about the novelty
The e-bike bears the name Serial 1 Cycle and is thus reminiscent of the first motorbike of the traditional company still known. It should be available in March 2021.
Harley Davidson has not yet commented on the technical details. What we do know is that the Serial One will be distributed by a newly founded subsidiary called Serial 1.

The brand director of Serial 1 says of the idea “The dynamic and rapidly growing e-bike market is at the forefront of a global mobility revolution. The creation of Serial 1 enables Harley-Davidson to play a key role in this mobility revolution”.
The global e-bike market is estimated to be worth more than $15 million. This means there is great potential for Serial 1, so we can be excited about how it will continue.
