Spring is just around the corner! Time to enjoy the sun and make great bike tours. The pond landscape De Wijers in Bokrijk, Belgium offers a special cycling experience. Literally cycle through the water, which is at eye level with you. Learn more about this unique experience here!
Since April 2016, the project “Cycling through the water” in Bokrijk has been inspiring numerous cyclists. It was set up to bring people closer to nature. At more than 200 metres, you can cycle along the cycle path through the water and experience nature up close. But don’t worry, you won’t get wet. The cycle path is laid out below the water level and secured by walls.

Tourists can easily rent a bicycle on site and a large car park in Bokrijk offers plenty of parking space. Moreover, it is never possible to get lost at any time, as the routes are well signposted. Not a bicycle lover? No problem, because the unique path is of course also accessible for pedestrians.
No matter if it is a day trip or a short trip – De Wijers are definitely worth a detour! What are you waiting for, grab your bikes and let’s go!
