AUTUMN SEASON: THE BEST PREPARATION FOR THE NEW SEASON

youDRESSED Editor

Hot summer days, a trip to the swimming pool and a melting scoop of ice cream – summertime is something very special. But this season is also slowly coming to an end. Now in September, you already notice that the days are getting shorter and the nights longer.

Autumn brings many changes. The leaves turn many colours and fall from the trees. You can see that nature is slowly preparing for winter. And we should also prepare ourselves for the coming season. Here we show you the best preparations for autumn.

AUTUMN CLEANING

It’s a good idea to do a thorough housecleaning twice a year – that is, not just a spring cleaning in the spring. This ensures that your home is always clean and tidy. At the same time, you can also get rid of things you no longer use and old junk to make room for new things.

A thorough house cleaning is also the perfect opportunity to make your home cosy and warm and get ready for the coming cold months.

AUTUMN BUCKETLIST

A bucket list is a list of activities you want to do in your life. It helps us visualise our dreams and plans and gives us motivation to get these tasks done. Such a list can spur us to try new things, leave our comfort zone and enjoy life to the fullest.

In this way, we can make our lives more exciting and active, gain new experiences and create unforgettable memories.

There are endless activities to experience in autumn too. Besides outings and autumn crafts, you can make a bonfire and decorate your home for autumn. With a bucket list, you will rediscover and enjoy autumn.

AUTUMN PLAYLIST

Creating your own playlists is always fun – also and especially in autumn. The right music puts us in the right mood to spend the first rainy days comfortably in our home. A playlist for a special time can remind us of special events or moments and help to create a festive atmosphere.

As a creative activity, creating a new playlist is also a wonderful pastime and lets us forget our surroundings for a moment.

AUTUMN FOOD

When cooking in autumn, we can fall back on seasonal ingredients. Pumpkin, cabbage, turnips and root vegetables are particularly tasty at this time and can be prepared in many ways. Stews, soups and casseroles are perfect for the cooler days and warm you from the inside. Fresh herbs and spices can be used to conjure up delicious autumnal dishes.

Autumn is also the perfect time to bake something again. There is a wide range of fresh ingredients that you can use for delicious cakes, pies and pastries. Apples, pears, plums and pumpkins are just some of the fruits that are harvested in autumn. Spices such as cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg can be used to create wonderful autumnal flavours.

Seasonal foods make the coming season even more beautiful. The smell of fresh pastries and biscuits with cinnamon can only sweeten the day! It’s best to get a cup of hot chocolate or tea to lift the mood even more.
