15 Jan MOBILITY OF THE FUTURE – 3 GOOD REASONS FOR A GREEN CAR IN 2022
youDRESSED Editor
By “green” we do not mean the color of the paint, of course, but the symbol of sustainable mobility: There are more electric cars on the market than ever before, and their popularity is growing immensely. More and more people have already switched to an electric vehicle. Here are 3 reasons that convinced these people the most.
1.GREEN ENVIRONMENT INSTEAD OF GRAY EMISSIONS
The first reason is already obvious, but that does not make it any less significant: electric cars protect the environment because they do not emit any exhaust gases while driving. This means that the environmental saviors on four tires are spared in debates about driving bans in the inner city, while diesel vehicles and older gasoline-powered cars are facing the threat of having to park outside the city limits.
There has not yet been a final decision on the issue of driving bans, but it is certain that an electric car is definitely the best way to go in the long term.
2. EXCLUSIVE VIP PARKING
We all know the following situation: The apparently never occupied parking spaces directly in front of the entrance at the supermarket. Everyone would just love to leave leave their car in one of these empty spaces. Especially after shopping when we have to carry our heavy bags to the very back of the parking lot.
The suggestion here is almost a kind of Walk of Shame, while environmentalists are often rewarded with a free tank of gas right on the spot in addition to their exclusive parking space – that’s sustainable karma, I guess.
3. SUSTAINABILITY IS REWARDED
2021 marks the year in which electric cars finally made the breakthrough. Not at least thanks to government intervention, many of us have now discovered our ecological conscience. The purchase premium for cars with electric drives has been in place since 2016 – buyers can look forward to a hefty 9,000 euro grant for a fully new electric car. This is also noticeable in the shares: While in 2020 the share of new registrations of e-cars was just 6.86 percent, in 2021 the share was around 14 percent. The trend: still on a rise.
