From France to Russia – the cap trends 2020/2021

youDRESSED Redaktion

The days are getting shorter, the nights longer. The temperatures are slowly but surely moving lower and lower and occasionally it has already snowed. What does that mean? Right – winter is coming. At last it’s that time of the year again when you can dress warmly. A stylish cap is an absolute must.

You know them with bobble, without bobble, knitted, crocheted, thick, thin, long and short – caps. They are not only wonderfully warm, but also look great – especially if they are combined well. But what are you wearing this year?

Bon retour, cher Bèret

Yes, you have read correctly. The beret is celebrating its comeback this year. Whether made of felt, leather or wool, France has never been more tangible than now. Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl or Emiliy from Emiliy in Paris have recognized this early on and exemplify this trend.

The only drawback, however, is that it does not warm. That’s why it would be more suitable for warmer winter days.

The hat under the caps – the Bucket Hat

Some find it totally noble, others associate it with fishermen. We are talking about Bucket Hats. They come in a wide variety of colours and shapes. And there is no shortage of materials. From felt to cord to fabric or leather – there is something for everyone.

But even this cap only helps against cold to a limited extent. If you are looking for a hat that really keeps your head warm, take a look at the next trend.

Trapper – the cap for frostbites

You get cold quickly? Then you will like this trend. The trapper caps are back. They come from Russia and classically they are trimmed with fur. A practical feature is that you can sometimes tie them together at the bottom to protect yourself even better from the cold.

The evergreen among the cap trends – the beanies

Finally, an interim solution. Beanies are available in a wide variety of designs: in addition to widely protruding Smurf Beanies, there are also extra-thick variants that are turned over widely. This makes them even warmer and makes them look even more massive. The larger surface created by the wider turn is used by many manufacturers for embroidery or logo placement.

As you can see, there is something for everyone this year. Whether warm or cold, thin or thick – this year nobody can really complain, except the bobble fans.
