However, OutDoor by ISPO not only stands for the annual trade fair, which takes place from 30th June to 3rd July, but also for a year-round, integrative and cross-media platform for the international industry audience.

Sustainable Clothing from Picture Organic Clothing

The “Environmental Action Outdoor Brand” Picture Organic Clothing has set itself the goal of pursuing a completely ecological approach right from the start. In this way, the innovative and young label from France is making its contribution to the fight against climate change. To achieve this goal, the outdoor industry must pull together: Working together to improve working conditions in the apparel industry. Picture is presenting its new collection at this year’s OutDoor: from wetsuits and board shorts to outdoor jackets and backpacks. Picture Organic Clothing presents a broad collection for the coming season.

Basis of inspiration: The Färörer Islands

The Faroe Islands are known for their karst glaciers, incredible fjords and monstrous cliffs. With a population of only 50,000 people, the 80,000 sheep are a major attraction. The interaction of the northern lights with the clouds offers a unique spectacle with captivating mirages. This landscape served as inspiration for the designs of the SS20 collection by Picture: The Summer Expedition Line.

One example is the Abstral 2.5L Jacket, which fits in your own pocket and is versatile. It is suitable for outdoor activities of any kind. Thanks to the DryPlay membrane, it is breathable, while the 2.5 layer stretch shell features a 5K water column. Using recycled polyester and Teflon Eco Elite, it still meets the brand’s usual environmental standards. Reflective patches provide full protection in low light conditions.
With the eye-catching yet simple abstral print, Picture shows that they are not afraid to show their true colours and create their very own style.

Cool Mosaic Prints

Picture shows with her Terrazzo Prints that women’s clothing can also be stylish in the outdoor sector. The ultra-light windbreaker meets the usual sustainability standards by using 100% recycled polyester and the PFC-free Teflon Eco Elite DWR treatment. The new Lea Vest is the young brand’s first outdoor vest and brand new in the range.

Wetsuits, Boardshorts and Springsuits for surfers

Of course Picture has also thought about the environmentally friendly Surfrange. Picture Organic Clothing has designed a complete range of wetsuits, boardshorts and jumpsuits. Since the material plays an important role, the quality has been further improved and at the same time the environmental impact has been reduced. This is why alternatives to conventional neoprene are used, such as EicoPrene.

EicoPrene is a foam that has the same technical properties and profile as conventional neoprene. However, the origin of the material is completely different: while neoprene is based on petroleum, EicoPrene is made from a mixture of limestone and recycled tires. The material is not associated with fossil fuel. The inside and outside of the wetsuit is made of recycled polyamide or polyester. The lining provides warmth, while the outer fabric guarantees waterproof wetsuits.
