Supersmoothies for the cold season

youDRESSED Redaktion

We are all familiar with it: The person sitting  next to us on the subway coughs continuously and in the office, there is always someone sneezing. The cold season is accompanied by the constant worry of getting sick. But it does not have to be like this! youDRESSED introduces its three favorite smoothie recipes for the cold season which will definitely fight all viruses.

THE DELICIOUS COLD-FIGHTER

Nutrition expert Sven David Müller has developed a supersmoothie for the cold season in cooperation with the online delivery service Deliveroo. This smoothie has to be delicious, as the nutritionist has paid special attention not only to its medical effect but also to a harmonious interaction of the ingredients.

That’s what you need (for one smoothie):

  • 150 g ripe apple
  • 50 g sweet grapes
  • 10 g parsley
  • 50 g raspberries
  • 15 g sea buckthorn
  • 1 pinch vanilla mark
  • 1.5 thin slices of fresh ginger
  • lime juice: 1 splash
  • linseed: 10g
  • kale: 15g

Overall, Sven David Müller has created a combination of ingredients “that strengthen the body’s defenses such as pectin, antioxidant vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, carotenoids and those that can inhibit inflammation and the spread of bacteria and viruses such as flavonoids and zinc.”

VERY BERRY

This smoothie does not only taste great, but also looks lovely as it’s bright berry-red. That’s what you need (for approx. 900 ml):

  • 1/2 pomegranate
  • 1/2 fresh beetroot
  • 1 orange
  • 1 banana
  • 50 frozen raspberries
  • 100 ml cowberry juice
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 spoon aica powder

In addition to raspberries, beetroot also has a strong immune-boosting effect. Pomegranate is also anti-inflammatory. In addition, the anti-oxidative effect promotes the cardiovascular system. Tasty and healthy – what more could you want?

THE GREEN ONE

This smoothie is not the best choice for smoothie starters because it is really green – and somehow you can taste it. But the publishing house GU has created the purest vitamin C bomb!

That’s what you need (for approx. 900 ml):

  • ½ pineapple
  • ½ lemon
  • 50 g lettuce leaves
  • 40 g kale leaves (alternatively black cabbage leaves)
  • 15 g cress (garden, capuchin or watercress)
  • 1 piece of ginger (1 cm long)
  • 400 ml of water

Almost all green leaves contain a lot of vitamin C, but the cress in this smoothie is almost unbeatable. It purifies blood, stimulates the metabolism and helps against the well-known spring tiredness. You should absolutely use capuchin cress because it counteracts the proliferation of bacteria and viruses.
