Punta Cana – The Garden of Eden for the professional golfer

The Dominican Republic is especially known for its beautiful beaches. But for golf lovers there is another reason to visit the Caribbean island. The island is an award-winning golf paradise.

Take up position, strike out your club, swing, serve and watch the golf ball fly in bright sunshine between sky-high coconut palms on the horizon in front of white beaches and turquoise-blue shimmering sea – unbelievable dream, isn’t it?

In Punta Cana this dream becomes reality. The 48-kilometer-long coast in the southeast of the Dominican Republic offers everything a golfer’s heart desires and more.

Spectacular golf courses with ocean views

Where the waves of the Atlantic beat on the rocky cliffs and coral reefs of the Caribbean, the elite of international golf await 30 spectacular, incomparable and equally challenging golf courses, organised by numerous coveted golf clubs and resorts. Opulent fairways and sharply mown greens are in top form, and the drive on the caddy alone is a highlight in this fascinating setting.

The Dominican Republic has become the hotspot of golf in the Caribbean. For the third year in a row, the island was named the best golf destination in the Caribbean and Latin America by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO). The golf courses in Punta Cana in the southeast of the country are particularly varied and impressive. This has now also been noticed in the professional sector. From 23rd to 29th March, golf celebrities will have the honour of stopping in Punta Cana for the third time on the PGA Tour.
