Champagne & Canned Soup

For almost two years now, Düsseldorf has been home to probably the most luxurious supermarket in Germany. We will show you what makes the Zurheide Feine Kost Center so extraordinary.

Shopping should become an experience. That’s what more and more supermarket chains like EDEKA and Rewe are trying to do. This should prevent their customers from shopping online in the future. How such a gourmet experience supermarket can look like can be seen on about 10,000 square meters in the Zur Heide Feine Kost in Düsseldorf.

Champagne Bar & Gault-Millau

At the Zurheide Feine Kost supermarket it has little to do with quick shopping. It is a place to linger. The exciting extras that have been integrated into the supermarket make sure of this. The new shop on Berliner Allee has a champagne bar, its own chocolate and praline production, a vegetarian restaurant, an Italian bakery and a grill specialising in Japanese Kobe meat. The fine-dining restaurant located in the basement of the market also received a special honour this year: it was awarded 16 points by Gault-Millau.

Gigantic selection

An incredible number of about 60,000 products can be bought by customers in the market. And besides gourmet rarities like white truffles there are also normal products of the EDEKA private label good & cheap. The operators emphasise that they don’t just want to address well-earning customers. The Zurheide market should be created for every wallet.
