Who doesn’t know it, the temperatures are soaring and you can never get enough of cooling down. With a cool drink you can not only refresh yourself, you also take enough liquid, which the body needs in warm summer months. But on some days, water just tastes boring and you want to try an alternative that offers maximum refreshment. We’ve rounded up the latest refreshing drinks for you, and maybe one of them will even become your new go-to summer drink.

Limonade

If you want to keep it more simple and ordinary, a simple lemonade would be a safe pick.

  • 1     pc watermelon
  • 2     pcs limes or lemons
  • 3     tbsp brown sugar (optional)
  • 500 ml mineral water to fill up
  • 6     ice cubes

 

1. Cut the watermelon into big pieces and separate the pulp from the shell.

2. Put the pulp in a bowl and squeeze the limes into the same bowl.

3. Finely blend it all and add sugar. Stir all thoroughly and pour through a fine sieve

4. Fill glasses with mineral water and ice cubes and then pour in the juice.

And Voilá, a cool refreshing drink made with the fruit of the year!

Dalgona Coffee

Last year, this coffee from South Korea was going viral on Tiktok and on other social media platforms. You can understand why this recipe was being tried out by everyone. The general formula is in a 1:1:1 ratio between the three ingredients coffee, sugar and boiling water.

For 2 servings you need:

  • 3 tbsp instant coffee powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 400 ml milk
  • 3 tbsp. water, hot

 

1. Put instant coffee, sugar and the hot water into a stirring vessel and whip with a whisk/hand mixer to a stable and shiny consistency

2. Pour milk into a glass and top with the coffee foam from the stirring vessel (ice cubes optional)

3. Take photos of the glass, stir everything together and enjoy 😉

Of course it works vegan too, instead of cow’s milk, plant milk works great as well.

Kiwi Smoothie

To make this summer even more fruity and not to neglect the daily dose of vitamins, here is another recipe for a refreshing kiwi smoothie.

  • 100 g grapes, green, seedless
  • 1 banana
  • 1 kiwi
  • 100 ml grape juice

 

1.  Cut the banana and kiwi into large pieces

2. throw all fruits and the juice into the blender and blend finely

3. optionally fill the glass with ice cubes and pour in the smoothie
